Colourful wedding at Charisworth Farm | Claudia & Jamie

IF YOU LOVE COLOUR THEN YOU’LL ADORE THIS FESTIVAL THEMED WEDDING!

Claudia and Jamie got married at the lovely Charisworth Farm, Dorset, last summer. It was a super fun festival wedding, with so much colour everywhere and Chinese takeaway for dinner!

Prep

Jamie got ready at the pub with some friends and family. He wore a Moss Bross suit, and looked really dapper and there was enough time for some japey group photos!

Claudia got ready at home with her bridesmaids, and some family, and there was such a calm vibe. She wore a Justin Alexander dress, and looked so beautiful. Her Gran and Jamie’s mum helped her get ready into her dress which I thought was really touching.

The ceremony

The ceremony took place in the woodland area at Charisworth Farm which was so awesome, because it was a beautiful sunny day. The ceremony began with a beautiful reading, and finished with them walking down the aisle and being showered with colourful confetti. It was a romantic ceremony, full of private smiles and nervous giggles.

After the ceremony, I left the couple to mingle, which was the perfect time for me to get candid photos. Then we went for couples portraits, which was so much fun. I got some lovely portrait photos in the forest and we had a little wander through the neighbouring fields. The weather was all sunshine and blue skies, which must have been such a relief after planning an outdoor ceremony.

The reception

Claudia and Jamie chose to have their wedding at Charisworth Farm because it has so many options, and they could camp! They both love Glastonbury and so wanted to have that sort of chilled festival vibe and I think they pulled it off brilliantly. Charisworth Farm is basically a big field, and it’s got such a happy feel to it, and there’s something about the woodland where the ceremony took place that feels really magical.

For the reception, the couple had set up lawn games and a mobile bar for their guests, and everyone really enjoyed it. Everyone was then called in for dinner, which was a Chinese takeaway! What a great idea! Who doesn’t love takeaway?! They finished the meal off with speeches, which were really funny. even Jamie’s childhood bear took part!

The evening

After the meal was finished, the band started up and the party got started. The hats and glitter table were also a real hit, nothing you want more after a few drinks that a bit of a dress up!

I loved this colourful festival themed wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a fun wedding photographer, get in touch. Hope you’ve enjoyed the photos!
