Sammy and Elliott got married at the lovely Mercure Bush Hotel, Farnham, last spring. It was a wonderful wedding, with flowers everywhere and a very relaxed vibe.

The couple met at work and have been together for AGES. They are just the loveliest people. Sam is one of my bestest pals so I was a guest/photographer. Choosing an outfit to fit that role was way more painful than you would think!!!

The wedding

The ceremony took place in the venue grounds and the ceremony area was a lovely room, which was so nice, because it was a beautiful sunny day and the light spilled in through the windows. The ceremony began with nervous giggles, and finished with huge grins walking back down the aisle. It was a gorgeous ceremony, full of private smiles and excited hand squeezes.

After the ceremony, we did some family photos in the garden, which was really chilled out. Then all the guests made a beeline for the bar, which I love doing obviously.

The venue

Sammy and Elliott chose to have their wedding at Mercure Bush Hotel because everything was in one place and their guests could stay the night there too. Mercure Bush Hotel is an understated venue, and it’s got such a lovely relaxed vibe, especially in the gardens when the golden sun is glowing.

After we had finished the photos everyone was called in for food, which was proper wedding grub. It was gobbled down in seconds by everyone. They had speeches during the meal, which were really fun – with Sammy acquiring a new garden gnome much to Elliott’s disgust!

Party time!

After the meal was finished, we all headed to the bar, and the party got started. The DJ kept everyone entertained all evening. A highlight for me was oops upside your head. I mean is it even a wedding if that song doesn’t get played?.

I loved this Farnham wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a fun and relaxed wedding photographer, get in touch. Here are the photos!
