Wedding of Debs and Simon

Debs and Simon’s first wedding was victim to the first 2020 lockdown and so rearranged for October this year at St Saviours CofE Church in Bournemouth.  They had a handful of close friends and family join them for the ceremony but you could see how loved they were as we were greeted by a (socially distancing) crowd coming out of the church to cheer them on into married life.  Through the conversations I had with Debs in the booking and planning process what came across to me was how absolutely lovely she was.  Both she and her dad have faced significant health problems to add to the trauma of 2020 so they just wanted to be married and for her Dad to be there to enjoy it.

You can see in the photos, Debs’ Dad took over the last part of the walking her down the aisle to give her away and it was clear how pleased they were to share that moment.  And I was overjoyed to be able to document it for them.

We did a few family photos after the ceremony and there was the most AMAZING sunshine, despite the weather leading up to that day being terrible, and I fully believe that if anyone deserved a bit of sunshine on their big day, they did.

Congratulations Debs and Simon, enjoy the rest of your lives together!
